Honigman advises developers of new Foundation Hotel in downtown Detroit
Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP served as local counsel for Chicago-based Aparium Group and legal counsel for Michigan-based developer Walter Cohen in their renovation of the historic firehouse on Larned Street in downtown Detroit. The developers will transform the two sites – the firehouse and a building that was once the Pontchartrain Wine Cellars – into the Foundation Hotel, a 100-room independent hotel.

The team of Honigman Real Estate attorneys was led by Partner Gregory J. DeMars with Associates Paul Mardirosian and Bryan Coe, as well as Paralegal Joanne Fisher, assisting. Partner Eric Eggan also assisted with respect to the liquor licenses.
