Honigman’s Gregory J. DeMars Addresses the Michigan Housing Council
Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP (Honigman) is pleased to announce that Gregory J. DeMars, Chair of the firm’s Workout, Foreclosure and Distressed Property Practice Group in the Real Estate Department, led “a discussion of experts on issues surrounding troubled affordable housing properties” at the recent Michigan Housing Council’s 2009 Fall Conference in Brighton, Michigan.
DeMars experience includes advising and representing individuals, businesses and lenders with regard to business workouts, joint ventures, multifamily debt and equity financing, real estate transactions and real estate financing through mortgage and other secured and asset-based lending. In addition, he serves as Co-Chair of Honigman’s Affordable Housing Practice Group.
DeMars was named in the 2010 edition of Best Lawyers in America, from 2007 to 2009 in Michigan Super Lawyers and in 2008 and 2009 as one of the top Real Estate practitioners in Michigan by Chambers USA in America’s Leading Lawyers.
He is a magna cum laude graduate of Wayne State University Law School and received a M.P.A. and a B.S. from Wayne State University.
