Ms. Rockwell is a health care corporate and intellectual property attorney with experience guiding clients through various health care regulatory and compliance issues; mergers and acquisitions projects; employment matters; and intellectual property disputes. She assists clients in a conscientious manner focused on addressing a client’s particular needs from the client’s perspective. Ms. Rockwell is a board certified family medicine physician whose years of experience as a primary care physician informs her client-focused approach to providing practical legal counsel on important healthcare organizational, clinical, compliance, regulatory issues, and intellectual property.

  • Counseling health care providers and medical device manufacturers on various federal and state regulatory matters, including Medicare and Medicaid enrollment, licensing, compliance, privacy, and health care fraud and abuse issues
  • Drafting and reviewing contracts and agreements for arrangements, including joint ventures, co-management arrangements, physician employment, physician recruitment, clinical trial relationships, intellectual property licensing, and other health care and intellectual property related arrangements
  • Advocating for clients on various intellectual property disputes before litigation ensues
  • Assisting clients in patent litigation, trade secret disputes, advertising and unfair competition disputes, and trademark disputes within the healthcare, pharmaceutical, and medical device industries
  • Issuing opinions on intellectual property matters in a cost-effective and efficient manner
