Overview

Douglas Kelin is a real estate attorney who counsels clients in all aspects of real estate acquisition, sale, development, construction, leasing and financing. He represents developers and operators from a variety of industries, including retail, office, self-storage, industrial, multifamily, manufactured housing, hospitality, and construction. Douglas also has extensive experience in structuring joint ventures and assisting clients with fund formation and capital raising for real estate projects. His practice also focuses on the representation of landlords and tenants with industrial, retail and office leasing, including the negotiation of ground leases and build-to-suit projects. His representations include portfolio acquisitions, multi-property financing, sale lease-back transactions, condominium development, acquisition and sale of NNN lease properties, acquisition and disposition of apartment complexes, and industrial facility leasing.

  • Acquisition and financing of 70,000+ sq ft shopping center in Ohio, with anchor tenant grocery store, and numerous other tenants
  • Disposition of apartment complex in North Carolina, and 1031 structuring for multiparty tenant in common sale.
  • Assemblage of parcels in Michigan and site plan approval for a mixed-used development
  • Acquisition and financing of portfolio of apartment complexes in South Carolina, structuring of joint venture with institutional partner, private placement memorandum and offering documents to non-institutional investors
  • Disposition of a portfolio of self-storage facilities located in Delaware, New York, New Jersey and additional states.
  • Acquisition and financing of 9 property industrial portfolio in Illinois
  • Sale-leaseback transaction of multiple industrial facilities in Tennessee to publicly traded company
  • Acquisition of portfolio of NNN leased retail condominium units in historic building in Pennsylvania
